crowie sevigny

hey bunk...

i found these limited edition posters of your girl chloe sevigny.

check em out

bunk i am at prison!!

while i am sitting in my cube checking out new music, bunk, you are at prison in new orleans working with prisoners, writing me emails and sending me articles.

boring articles from the dork

bunk i am at prison!!

this is an article from yesterday's new orleans times-picayune about the orleans parish prison. this is the prison that i am working in while i am in new orleans this week. the prison is a large campus. on the campus there are many buildings that are completely demolished and in the process of being demolished. the buildings with inmates look like old rockville office buildings with watch towers and razor wire. because there are not enough buildings many inmates sleep in tents in the yard. i do not walk the halls at the prison, just sit in the visiting room in the booth where you talk on the phone to the prisoner on the other side of the glass.

and here's an article from the post a few days ago about how tenants are getting screwed. this is the stuff i do with my clients in the clinic at school.

these days

hey bunk...

have you ever noticed how many covers there are of jackson browne's these days?
quite a few. including the beautiful nico rendition

these days might be a good band name.

today i came across a song called these days that is not a cover of the same song, yet it is just as beautiful.
Peasant - These Days

Hey Bunk

i'm glad that we went to the red and the black last night. i really like when bars are that empty. and we were the only ones at the show last nite that didn't have a connection to the band.

i like the muggabears. cuz:
a. great band name
b. they are as cute as their name suggests
c. the lead singer looks like ian curtis
d. cute little girl bass player
e. cute curlyhaired drummer

sisters were noisy, but i liked it. they seemed enraged and i liked it. if someone is going to get enraged they should just pick up a musical instrument and get that enragement out of their system in a healthier way.

i am going to pick up the bass again and learn it for real. who can i get to teach me? i like the idea of being in a summer band with you and mel. have you thought of any names? how about summer babe?

speaking of summer babe, we have to get our malkmus tix. asap.

also, cool that we got a ride home last nite. but i really thought it was weird that dude played his music for us the whole way home. when we have a band, we shouldn't play our demo for people in a car. oh wait, we don't have cars, so that shouldn't be a problem. okay, so we shouldn't play in it the zipcar. i felt pressured to tell him i liked it. i don't like to be pressured.

i never really listened to sufjan stevens before, but i heard this song yesterday and i love it. you have probably heard before, but i posted it anyways.

Sufjan Stevens
Casimir Pulsaki Day

i found this song on hype machine last week and all i can say about it is that it rules. i totally love it.
